The Royals could be looking to add an outfielder to their roster in the near future.
Kansas City is showing interest in former Reds outfielder Billy Hamilton, according to MLB.com.

The Athletic also reported the Royals have looked into trading for Hamilton in the past and he fits the team’s “stated profile of ‘action-type’ players.”
Hamilton, a second-round draft pick of the Reds in 2009, became a free agent last week after he was non-tendered by Cincinnati following a season in which he hit .236/.299/.327 with 34 steals in 153 games.
The 28-year-old was entering his final year of arbitration with the Reds, and MLB.com notes it was hard for the Reds to justify his $4.6 million salary in 2018.
Hamilton owns a .245/.298/.333 slash line with 277 stolen bases in 690 career games.
