Three Olympic gold medalists to coach soccer camp in Waterloo

WATERLOO, Iowa (KWWL) – A kids’ soccer camp will soon be coming to the Cedar Valley.

Soccer superstars Mia Hamm, Kristine Lilly and Tisha Venturini will be coaching. Three players who paved the way for female soccer players when they took home the gold in the 1996 Olympics.

Hamm, Lilly and Venturini started Team First Academy about ten years ago. Now, they’re coming to eastern Iowa for the first time.

Cedar Falls High School is hosting the event.

The camp will be held on March 2 and 3 at the Cedar Valley SportsPlex in Waterloo.

YOUTH CAMP (Grades K-8)

Saturday, March 2: 12:30 – 3:30 p.m.

Sunday, March 3: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Cost: $250 – COED

HIGH SCHOOL CAMP (Grades 9-12)

Saturday, March 2: 4:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Cost: $150 – COED
