Brooks Koepka is the odds-on favorite to win golf’s final major of the year, The Open Championship.
On Sunday, Gary Woodland won the 2019 U.S. Open. It was a race to the finish between Woodland and Koepka, but in the end Woodland came out on top by a winning margin of three strokes. Its finish marks the completion of the third golf major of the year, with The Open Championship as the final one remaining. Scheduled for July 18-21, 2019, The Open Championship takes place at Royal Portrush Golf Club in County Antrim, Northern Ireland.
Koepka has won four major championships in his professional golf career, and he almost won his third consecutive U.S. Open on Sunday before ultimately finishing in second place. Koepka has been competing in top form lately. Before the U.S. Open, he won the PGA Championship. Before that, he finished second in the Masters. That’s why Koepka is the odds-on favorite to win The Open Championship at +600, per the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook as of late Sunday night.
Coming in behind Koepka were Rory McIlroy at +1000, Dustin Johnson and Tiger Woods at +1200 each, and Justin Rose at +1600.
Woodland, who successfully held off Koepka in the U.S. Open, was listed at +5000 to win The Open Championship.
