Five years ago this week, soccer star Tim Howard was Adweek’s cover star. The U.S. goalie had just come off a record-breaking 16-save match against Belgium in the 2014 World Cup. Though that match resulted in a loss, Howard won a spot in the media spotlight and became a sought-after brand star. We caught up with Howard recently as both he, and Adweek, celebrate 40th birthdays.
